Key Issues

I will fight until every single name has been released. I will demand

justice for the abuse victims. We should prosecute those within the government who are

protecting the names of the guilty.

I oppose the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir. It would

deeply hurt businesses in Cass County, harm East Texas wetlands, and is not a solution

to the water shortage DFW faces. Texas must find another solution to the water crisis

and I will work to defend East Texans on this issue.

Rural East Texas has seen the most hospital closures in the state, with

some having to drive hours away for specialist visits or general healthcare. Congress

must pass legislation to raise the rate that Medicare pays providers and hospitals.

Passing Medicare for All, a single-payer healthcare system, would ensure all Americans

have health insurance, with no co-pays or deductibles. Our current healthcare system is

broken and far too many families must start a GoFundMe due to medical expenses.

I am pro-choice. No one should tell a woman how care for her

own body. We must restore Roe and ensure women have access to reproductive care.

Congress needs to protect the Department of Education and ensure

Teachers are once again classified as Professionals. To ensure our children receive the

best high quality learning experience, we must raise teacher pay. Teachers should not

work two jobs to make ends meet.

Congress must expand programs for students with disabilities and ensure every single

child receives a free breakfast and lunch in public schools. Universal pre-K is a key

priority of mine.
